The best school in the world

I feel my school is the most wonderful school in the world.I feel that because it provides everything that other schools don't. I thank His highness for making our school.

In our school, we follow the IB PYP curriculum. We have many subjects like Language,Maths,P.E ( Physical Education ),Hindi, and UOI ( Unit of Inquiry ). In UOI, we have 6 units every year and with them, we have TD (Trans-disiplanry) skills. For example, if our unit is on Simple machines, our skill would be 'How the world works'. This year, our teacher is Mrs. Archana. She is an excellent teacher.

The Aga Khan Academy has a beautiful campus. It's spread over a hundred acres land.  It is located near the Shamshabad airport. In our school, you'll see a lot of green trees. We also have a Gymnasium, residences for students and teachers, and many playgrounds, for example: Football,Cricket,Hockey,Tennis, and we also 2 swimming pools.

PicLit Descriptive Writing

I chose this PikLit because I wanted to tell what I can Hear,Smell,Taste,Feel, and See.

  • If I were at this place:
  • I  could hear Wolves,Huskies,Snowmobiles, etc.
  • I could smell the
  • I could taste the Marshmallow.
  • I could feel the softness of my jacket.
  • I could see the huge trees covered with snow.

Reflection

Today, we went to Choumahallah Palace and The Nizam's Museum to find about the Nizams' culture.
In the Choumahallah Palace, we saw the currency, paintings, clothes, throne, the chandler etc.

The currency of that time was very rusty. Some coins were circle and some were square. Some even had holes in them. The notes had a big amount. If you stretch your thumb and the pinky finger as far as you could, that would make a note.

The weapons were very sharp. Sharper than a porcupine. The most sharp one which I think was the tallest one which was in the second room.

Reflection of the unit

  • Our unit was about Traditions and Rituals.
  • In that, we had so much fun.
  • I liked the part when we had to do our summative assessment.
  • We had to make a culture of our own.
  • We didn't do presentations, we did a gallery walk.
  • Everyone gave comments to each others work and told them what to improve and what was good.
  • When we were finished, we had a class discussion.

Artefacts

This is a Bracelet made of Iron. Around 800 BC, there was no metal. Instead, they made tools and weapons of Iron.

This is a large necklace of the ''Bronze'' Age which was used in weddings. It is also a bit heavy.
